Wash the chicken well and wipe it with an absorbent napkin. Saute the chicken well and then fry it in a pan with hot butter, turning it on all sides until golden. When it is browned, we move it to the tray, I still used the Romanian dish because I can't give it back for any steak.

Then we pour a cup of milk over it, we put the garlic cloves (I cut them smaller), we add 100 grams of butter cut into pieces and we put sage leaves on it.

We leave it in the oven for an hour and a half, I left the first half hour with the lid on, although it didn't provide the recipe and then without over medium heat, putting a spoonful of the mixture in the pan from time to time so that it doesn't dry out.

A chicken came out with a very crunchy crust and a fragile and very good interior, I didn't even think that such a simple recipe would give such a good result. I warmly recommend the recipe, it is worth testing. I served with a mashed potato to be lighter and a salad of vegetables

I found this recipe on Amei's blog, Ama in bucatarie, a blog full of all the goodies and a special refinement, which I love very much. I've been thinking since I saw it that I have to try it once and yesterday it was the turn of the baked chicken made in butter and milk according to a Jamie Oliver recipe.

Chicken in milk recipe, created by Jamie Oliver

Chicken steak cooked in milk

  • 1 chicken
  • 500 ml of milk
  • 10 cloves of garlic with peel
  • grated peel of 2 lemons
  • 1 hand sage leaves
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick - only if we want
  • ground black pepper and salt

Preheat the oven to about 190 degrees.

Season the chicken well and lightly fry in olive oil. Turn it on all sides until it turns a golden-red color. Ideally, use a container only slightly larger than the chicken, so as not to lose the sauce.

After frying, the chicken is taken out on a plate. Discard the oil from the container, but be careful: it (the container) must not be washed.

Put the chicken back in the pot and add the rest of the ingredients. Put the tray in the oven for an hour and a half. From time to time, sprinkle the chicken with the sauce from the pot. Lemon peel should & # 039 cut & # 039 the milk, turning it into a delicious sauce like you've never tasted before.

Put in Jamie Oliver's baked milk

Preheat the oven to 190 ° C / stage 5 on the gas oven and prepare a suitable dish for the chicken. Season it well everywhere and fry it in butter and a little olive oil, turning the chicken on all sides so that it browns evenly. Remove the pan from the heat, place the chicken on a plate and discard the remaining oil and butter in the bowl. Keep only what has stuck to the bottom of the bowl, ie a layer that will finally give the food a wonderful caramel flavor.

Put the chicken back in the bowl and add all the other ingredients (milk, cinnamon, sage, lemon and garlic), then bake for 11/2 hours in the preheated oven. Remember to sprinkle the meat with sauce from time to time. Lemon peel will make the milk stick, resulting in an absolutely fantastic sauce.

To serve the meat, peel it from the bones and slice it on plates. With a spoon, place plenty of sauce and milk on top of the meat. Serve with steamed spinach or vegetables and a little mashed potatoes.

Put in milk. A recipe inspired by Jamie Oliver.

It is a recipe for chicken in milk by Jamie Oliver, which I saw that several colleagues tried and they were very excited about.

I was tempted to try it too, and I did well, because it resulted in a very tender and fragrant steak, considering that I used country chicken.

  • 1 large and fat chicken
  • 500 ml of milk
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • peel from a large lemon
  • dried and crushed sage leaves from Kotanyi
  • 2 small heads of garlic

We are preparing the chicken

There was also olive oil in the original recipe, I didn't use it anymore because the chicken was greasy and I separated a little fat from it.
Over the well-washed chicken, sprinkle salt and pepper and rub it well on all sides.

We put it in a heat-resistant dish with the grease that we separated, without melting it, it will melt in the oven.
If it is commercially available chicken, add olive oil.

Prepare chicken in milk

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and put the dish in the oven for 20 minutes until the chicken is well browned, turning it on all sides.

Remove the chicken from the bowl and remove all the fat.

Then add the milk, a little dried and crushed sage, lemon peel, cinnamon stick and unclean garlic, just remove the ends.
Sprinkle a little more salt, if the chicken has not taken enough, put the chicken back in the bowl and put the dish back in the oven for 45 minutes, taking care that from time to time to turn the chicken from side to side if the dish allows us , or if not, sprinkle it from time to time with the sauce from the bowl.

I covered the vessel with a lid, but not hermetically.
It came out, tasty and tender, and the sauce was very fragrant from cinnamon and lemon.
I served the chicken with potatoes in the oven, which I sprinkled with a little sauce.
Unfortunately, I don't have too many pictures, I really don't like how they come out in this dark weather.
I hope you like and find useful this chicken recipe in milk!
