Humus is a good health

Through the ingredients contained, humus helps fight inflammation. Also, the consumption of humus promotes the health of the cardiovascular system, but also a good digestion. Studies have shown that, due to the fiber contained, humus contributes to the development of beneficial intestinal bacteria and improves intestinal transit.

Because it promotes the production of butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, humus is proving to be useful in reducing the risk of colon cancer. And this despite the fact that they have a somewhat similar content of carbohydrates.

HUMUS LEBANESE

Today I will recreate in my kitchen a particle from the Lebanese atmosphere with a hot pita and a quickly prepared Lebanese hummus.

ingredients:

  • 400 gr. chickpeas
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tahini pasta (sesame paste)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • a sweet paprika powder

I use a food processor in which I mix the canned chickpeas drained very well from the juice that I do not throw.

Add the garlic given on the small grater, lemon juice, tahini paste, as well as a pinch of salt and pepper.

Due to the fact that I obtained a fairly thick consistency of chickpea paste, I add 4-5 tablespoons of the juice initially kept and mix while supplementing with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Decorated with a generous powder of sweet paprika and sprinkled with a little extra virgin olive oil, I can't think of enjoying it other than with a homemade hot pita that I adore in combination with this very nutritious Lebanese hummus.
